Trey - No worries man about sounding cynical or whatnot. I've grown up in the church (on the more conservative side of things) so I've seen my fair share of weird or straight-up unbiblical behavior. It's sad to think that some times it's only those brief glimpses that people will ever see of the the church or Jesus.

On a related note, I do indeed go to Renovatus. My wife and I have loved it ever since we set foot inside the school auditorium over two years ago. Jonathan is an amazing man of God. It's wild that you know of him and us. What a small world. Please do swing by some time to visit and hang out.

I hope I didn't sound condescending and cynical. I just know that it is stuff like this that hurts our witness to the countless millions that do not know Christ. This stuff does more harm than good... I've seen it first-hand

Oh, and awesome vids, dude! The video of Rick Pino, I saw a long time ago and many of- what I like to call RAMPers- think it's great. There was a RAMP started here in Cleveland and Karen Wheaton basically pulled her covering... Then the leadership that was left changed the name to the Reaping and tried to continue it... They then went on to pack up and run back to Texas leaving all these kids sitting here. I don't know what is going on now but I know there was a major lack of discipleship and spiritual growth taking place.

These kids were being taught to pray and "worship" but not to use wisdom in their dealings with people. They came onto campus and screamed at buildings thinking somehow that God would be moved from His throne on account of the passion and fervor- and volume. They also acted as though they were in a war against people. In a chapel service once, they completely took over and were praying loud over the Campus pastor. He was trying to invite people to the altars but these kids thought the "worship" should continue... so they kept on. This caused a big ruckus and left so many students confused.

They are good kids, though! They needed teaching... not some free-for-all where you can do whatever you want with no reverance for God or respect for those of us trying to sleep (they would do this very late at night). Sorry to ramble on but I had to comment after watching that video. We have gotten to a point where we justify this ludicrous mockery of Christ and the Gospel because we write other wonderfully powerful songs and lead people in worship. God is not honored by swinging socks and/or screaming at buildings and dancing/ shouting in a service when the Spirit of God is obviously moving in a more reverent, quiet manner. I'm open to new things and being "out-of-the-box." But I want to honor Jesus Christ and show love to people- not attack them because they disagree with me.
