Well gang, apparently The Renewed Mind Is The Key to getting pulled from YouTube.
Yep, as many of you have already heard/figured out, The Way International requested that the hottest video this side of the Star Wars Kid be removed and so we’ve complied. Or rather, YouTube complied and we just had to roll with it. Such is life. Thanks for all the hilarious comments and discussion over the past couple of weeks. It’s been fun. Oh and for those of you keep score at home, the clip had over 133,000 views on the Tube before it got yanked. Amazing. All that in just two weeks.
I’m sure we’ll have some more goodness for you in the coming weeks, but don’t despair. The beauty of the interwebs is that once something is unleashed, it’s awfully hard to contain it. I’m sure Renewed Mind will pop up somewhere again…
So sad. I’m sure about 50 of those views were either me or me showing it to my family. I got a lot of joy out of it, so thanks.

But surely they would have wanted all the funky young dudes to catch hold of their happening rhythms so that their minds could be renewed.
I guess we’ll all have to renew our minds some other way.

Whew. I was about to go through withdrawal. I really like the description, too… “This is kind of Cheezy, but it’s all in good fun. Send this to someone, it will brighten their day.”
First of all, why is “cheezy” capitalized, and secondly, is that how you spell it? And thirdly and most importantly, I’d like to know what they mean by “brighten their day.” Like, make them laugh uncontrollably and then have the song stuck in their head all day? I mean, I’ve subjected myself to it numerous times, but I don’t really think it brightened my day…
1:53 is still my favorite. Most times when I watch it, I skip ahead to that part.

And for some reasone the fact that this was done only a year ago somehow bothers me the most, but I’m not sure why – easier to laugh and think this was the cheezy 80s or 90s I guess, but it was March 2007.

Yeah, I figured since it was copywrited (copywritten??) it wouldn’t last on Youtube very long. I hope you all got to see the 50-cent-Renewed Mind remix someone made…it was surreal!
Definitely go to the source and watch the rest of their vids. Though it lacks the polished dance moves of Renewed Mind, “Promised Seed” is instrumentally the equivalent!

I am embarrassed to say I used to be in this group. I don’t know what’s worse – that they actually do perform like this (and the choir is worse) or that I was ever involved. They are a true cult.
Watching this is hilarious and I could not stop laughing when I saw it on E! Talk Soup today.
