A World Without Rules

Wow. This is so unspeakably cool. I have been jazzed about The Dark Knight for a while now and this poster succeeds in upping my anticipation that much more. I love the concept of a world without rules and the dangers inherent in such a change. It fits perfectly with the darkness of the Batman character and I hope that the film is able to deliver on the unhinged nature of things to which this seems to allude.

Plus that burning Bat symbol is simply and utterly kickass.

Hmmm, that burning, smoking building is just a little too reminiscent of 9/11 for my tastes. Not that its sacrilegious or anything. It just strikes me as being in bad taste, potentially. I just don’t think we’re far enough removed yet from 9/11 for this kind of image to not have deep (albeit unintended, perhaps) psychic meaning.

Just my wet blanket, errr, two cents ;-)

Yeah, people said that about Cloverfield too. I guess I could see that, but you could say the same thing with this poster about the Oklahoma City bombing. It’s rather inevitable that at some point, film, music or another form of art will touch on the horrific and tragic in this world.

Seeing the preview for THIS MOVIE was the best thing about my trip to see the Indiana Jones movie. The preview made me wanna wet my pants! :) (in a good way…is there a good way?)
